Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about submitting and claiming improvement signals.
What is ImproveSignal?
ImproveSignal is a platform that helps employees and customers share improvement ideas with companies in a constructive, structured way. We surface signals about bottlenecks, safety issues, quality gaps, and process problems so companies can see where work can get better and turn signals into action.
Is this a complaint site?
No. ImproveSignal is focused on constructive improvement. We ask contributors to describe the process, the impact, and what better would look like. Personal attacks, harassment, and legal claims are not allowed and will be removed.
Can I submit anonymously?
Yes. You can submit signals without creating an account or providing your name. If you do include identifying information, we keep it private and do not share it publicly unless you explicitly choose to.
Will my full submission be posted publicly?
By default, we summarize and categorize submissions into improvement themes before they appear on a company's profile. Direct quotes or identifiable details are not published without consent. Companies see more detail when they claim their profile.
What kinds of ideas should I submit?
Process delays, rework, safety observations, approval bottlenecks, software problems, quality issues, training gaps, cost-saving ideas, workflow confusion, and customer friction are all great examples. Focus on the process and the impact.
Do I need to have a solution?
No. A clear description of the problem and its impact is enough. If you do have a suggestion for what better would look like, include it — but it is not required.
What should I not submit?
Do not submit personal attacks, HR complaints, harassment reports, legal claims, or confidential company information. Keep the focus on processes, impacts, and constructive improvement.
What happens after I submit?
We review submissions for clarity, safety, and fit, then enhance and route the idea to the appropriate company profile. Public pages show only aggregate counts and improvement areas — never your full submission. If the company has claimed its profile, they can review moderated signals and respond.
How can a company claim its profile?
Go to the Find Your Company page, enter your company email address, and we will send you an invite. Your profile is linked to your email's domain so it maps to your company website. Once verified, you can set up your free profile and start responding to improvement signals.
How does KPI Fire help companies act on improvement signals?
KPI Fire is a continuous improvement platform that turns ideas into projects, tracks progress, and measures impact. Companies with paid ImproveSignal profiles can integrate with KPI Fire to route signals directly into their improvement workflow and start turning ideas into measurable results.
Do I get paid for submissions?
Not directly. ImproveSignal does not pay individuals for submissions. Some companies may choose to reward contributors, but that is entirely at the company's discretion.
Do I pay for submissions?
No. Submitting improvement signals is completely free for individuals. You can also create a free individual profile to share ideas with companies. Companies can claim a free profile or upgrade to a paid profile for advanced features and KPI Fire integration.
